Other than abortion, do you offer additional services as well?
As a fully equipped gynecology clinic, we can provide a variety of services for women. In addition to pregnancy terminations, we offer services for birth control, pap smears, STD and HIV testing, as well as treatment for vaginal infections and the human papilloma virus.

Is the abortion procedure sage?
At Washington Surgi-Clinic, we provide fully legal and safe abortion services up to 26 weeks of pregnancy (from the first day of the last menstrual period). Each of our physicians are board certified and specifically trained to perform abortion procedures.

What are the costs of your abortion services?
Our staff will discuss all your options and provide an estimate based on how far along your pregnancy is and what our physician notes during your exam. The fee we charge includes all costs of pregnancy testing, lab work, anesthesia, procedure, and follow-up exam. Please note this does not include prophylactic antibiotics, RhoGam injections, and prescriptions. Before services are conducted, all your fees must be paid. We accept cash, MasterCard, Visa, or Discover.

Are there any limitations to abortion?
We can only administer abortion procedures for pregnancies up to 26 weeks (based on the first day of your last menstrual period). Depending on your circumstances, we offer surgical and chemical options. Our staff will carefully discuss each option to ensure the procedure is conducted safely.

How strict is your patient confidentiality policy?
Our clinic upholds the highest standards of patient confidentiality. We follow the legal consent requirement of the District of Columbia. Please note that no parental or guardian consent is require to have an abortion or seek OB/GYN services.

How painful is the abortion operation?
Each and every person reacts to pain differently. During the procedure, you may experience some cramping which will subside once over time. If you select our chemical abortion option, you may experience cramping for extended periods of time; however most pain can be treated with pain relievers. Discuss your pain management concerns with our physicians to address your specific concerns.

What are your office hours?
We are open Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. On Saturdays, we are open 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. Our clinic is closed on Sundays and major federal holidays.
